DetailerBook

Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 30, 2026

DetailerBook is online booking software for auto detailing businesses, operated by GoScaleGrowth. This policy explains what information we collect, why, and who it is shared with.

Two different groups use DetailerBook, and it matters which one you are:

If you booked an appointment with a detailer, that detailer decides how your information is used. We store and process it on their behalf.

Information we collect

From business owners

From customers who book an appointment

If you start a booking but do not finish it. Once you complete the “Your info” step and continue to the review screen, the details you entered (name, phone, email and address if asked, vehicle, the service and time you picked) are saved for that detailer as a booking request, so they can follow up with you about it. This happens even if you leave before confirming. You can ask the detailer, or us, to delete it at any time.

We do not ask for or store payment card numbers.

Collected automatically

Standard server logs from our hosting provider, such as IP address, browser type and pages requested.

Advertising measurement. A detailer may add their own Meta (Facebook) Pixel to their booking page so they can measure the ads they run. It is off unless that business turns it on. Where it is present, Meta receives your visit to that page and whether you viewed a service, started booking, or completed a booking, along with the appointment price — plus the information Meta collects on its own, such as your IP address. When you complete the “Your info” step, your email, phone number and name are converted in your browser into an irreversible scrambled code (a SHA-256 hash) and sent to Meta with that event, so Meta can match it to the ad you came from. Meta does not receive them in readable form, and it does not receive your address or notes. You can limit this in your Meta ad preferences or with your browser's tracking protections.

In the same way, a detailer may add their own Google Ads tag to their booking page. It is off unless that business turns it on. Where it is present, Google receives your visit to that page and whether you completed a booking, along with the appointment price, plus what Google collects on its own such as your IP address and any Google ad-click identifier in the link you arrived from. It does not receive your name, phone number or address from us. You can limit this in your Google ads settings or with your browser's tracking protections. We do not run any advertising or analytics tracking of our own.

Remembering that you came from an ad. If you reach a booking page from an ad or a tagged link, your browser stores a small note on your own device (for example “Meta Ad”, and when) for up to 7 days, so that if you book later the detailer can see the booking came from their ad. It is kept in your browser's local storage, is not a cookie, is not shared with anyone, and is removed once you book. Clearing your browser's site data removes it sooner.

How we use it

We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it to advertise to you.

Who we share it with

We use a small number of service providers to run DetailerBook. They only receive what they need to do their job:

We may also disclose information if required by law, or as part of a business transfer such as a sale or merger.

How long we keep it

Booking and customer records are kept for as long as the detailer's account is active, since they are that business's records. If a business closes its account, we delete its data, including its customers' booking records, within 30 days. Backups may persist for a short period after that.

Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights — for example, California residents have rights under the CCPA to know what is collected and to request deletion. We honor these requests regardless of your location.

Security

Data is transmitted over HTTPS and stored with access controls that keep each business's records separate from every other business. Sign-in uses one-time email links or a device passkey rather than stored passwords. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.

Children

DetailerBook is intended for businesses and their adult customers. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

Changes

If we make a material change to this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify account holders by email.
